IFSO 2022 – Miami

THANK YOU all very much for your continuous support and participation in IFSO’s activities throughout 2020, 2021, and the first months of 2022.

The last two years have been a very tough period for all of us. The pandemic has challenged our lives in each and every aspect, but the vaccine has finally brought all of us out of the tunnel.

As you know, we were forced to postpone twice the XXV IFSO World Congress in Miami in order to enable all our members to attend and to get together again. Initially, the pandemic, and then the travel restrictions from some countries prevented all our members from being there. The Silver Anniversary of the IFSO World Congress wouldn’t have been the same without some of our members. So we waited one more year to give everyone the opportunity to be there.

The scientific program will be even more interesting: ASMBS will participate with us with its two tracks, the biggest international organizations dealing with Obesity: WOF, WGO, and ISPCOP will have their sessions, IFSO LAC will organize their sessions in Spanish and Portuguese and IFSO APC will organize a session in the Mandarin language. IFSO EC, IFSO NAC, and IFSO MENAC will host their sessions as well.

In one word: IFSO 2022 MIAMI will remain the biggest appointment for anyone working in the field of obesity surgery.
