Vision
Access to safe and effective treatment for people living with with severe and complex obesity across the UK.
Mission
The mission of the society is to advance the art and science of metabolic and bariatric surgery by continually improving the quality and safety of care and treatment of people with severe obesity and related diseases through:

- Advocating for health care policy that widens access to high quality care and treatment for people living with severe and complex obesity
- Acknowledging and challenging stigma and bias in the healthcare setting affecting people with severe and complex obesity
